As you might know by now, I like to spend one or two posts a week reviewing either books, movies, shows, etc...
Cowboys and Aliens - As the title tells you, this isn't going to be some thought provoking moving drama. However, it is a fun movie. The action is good and the aliens are different looking from what you are used to; faster, bigger and stronger. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford are always good in action flicks and of course Olivia Wilde is not too hard to look at either. My one complaint, it could have been about half an hour shorter, seemed to drag in the end.
Midnight in Paris - I will begin this by saying that I am not a Woody Allen fan in the least and I could take or leave Owen Wilson. With that said, I LOVED this movie. Owen Wilson is hilarious as he hangs out with some of the greatest minds in the history of the world. Between a macho Hemingway and crazy Picasso, the supporting cast is great. The movie is original and keeps you laughing through out. Fast paced with a great ending, this movie is a must for anyone who loves history, literature or the arts.
Final Destination 5 - If you have seen any of these movies then you know that the beginning and the end are predictable. The stars avoid death in the start by one of the character's premonition only to all die throughout the movie in the sequence that they were to die in the original accident. The only reason to watch is to see the manner in which the survivors are killed off. This movie is boring and the concept has become tired. With the exception of a few laughs, there is no reason to watch this film. It is not even that you know the ending, you wont even care how the characters get there.
