We all come in contact with an array of strange individuals in our daily life. Working in transportation, I have the pleasure of seeing these people very often. Some we just walk past and chalk it up to just a bizarre person on the street which we usually forget about within an hour or two... others stay with us for a longer time.
1) A woman finishing up hitting the crack pipe and throwing it on the platform behind a garbage pail. Aahhh... where to begin. How many laws are actually being broken here. You have the smoking on M.T.A property, which you should know is prohibited. You have littering, I mean come on people, there are trash receptacles strategically placed within a short distance of one another just for this reason. And let us not forget the actual crime of smoking crack... still frowned upon.
2) A woman peeing in the tunnel while brushing her teeth. Wow, now I am a huge fan of multi-tasking but since she was peeing in a tunnel and wearing Hello Kitty pajama pants, I really doubt time is much of an issue in her life. It is safe to say that she was not in a rush so she could get to that big board meeting for which she is the C.E.O of. I still do not know what disturbed me more, the tooth brushing, the pajama pants or the public urination. I think the pjs bother me the most... the other two we will just chalk up to proper oral hygiene and normal bodily functions. The pajamas were an intentional act.
